GENaustin brings workshops to Austin Sunshine Camps this summer!
Sunshine Camps help youth (ages 7-15) develop the tools necessary to overcome the variety of difficulties they face in their day-to-day lives. For the second summer in a row, we have the great pleasure of bringing our workshops to girls at Austin Sunshine Camps at Zilker Park. This summer we are talking to girls about friendship. Girls get the opportunity to discuss common friendship problems and offer solutions through activities designed to break down stereotypes and promote understanding. One of the girls’ favorite activity is the writing of a “Just Because Poem”. Here is one example from today’s workshop –
