Nicole Stallings is a self-described gypsy who finally found her way to Austin four years ago. She works as a wedding photographer, loves cooking and traveling with her boyfriend, and is unashamed of how obsessed she is with their dog, Pepper.

My Challenge

Nicole’s Big Brave challenge is to publish her first photography book.

“Seven years ago I was lucky enough to visit Cuba, and I was hugely inspired by the city of Havana. Art is everywhere there… in the emotion of the people, the colors of the architecture, it was all just too beautiful! I used my first big-girl camera there for the first time, and the photos I brought home inspired me to pursue photography as a career. Now I work as a wedding photographer, and while I absolutely love it, I often forget to make art for art’s sake. But when I do I feel too insecure to put it out there for others to see. I want to pay tribute to my inspiration by publishing a book of my fine art photography. I hope that my challenge will inspire girls and young artists to bravely bring their art to the world, in whatever form it may take.”
