Serve as a role model and mentor to pre-teen girls! Are you interested in empowering girls? GENaustin is seeking motivated, energetic women to intern in our afterschool program for middle school girls. clubGEN is a weekly afterschool program designed to help equip middle school girls with the skills and awareness they need to navigate the pressures of the teen years –with support from young adult role models and each other.
Location: GENaustin Main Office at The Ann Richards School Reports to: clubGEN Program Manager Time Commitment: 10-15 hours a week; flexible Compensation: This is a volunteer intern position with college credit available. clubGEN Communications Intern |

ClubGEN is an after school program for middle-school girls.
Local high school girls are hired and trained to lead weekly
interactive, fun sessions around issues of body image, self-esteem,
bullying, career exploration, confidence, financial literacy,
goal setting, healthy eating and physical fitness, healthy
relationships, substance abuse & stress management and team-building.
Currently, clubGEN is looking for 2 communications interns to work 15 hours a week. Communications interns will be responsible for managing a cohesive public relations campaign for GENaustin’s ClubGEN programs. Day to day work will include creating social media content, marketing materials, writing press releases and newsletters, video and photo work and other communications related tasks, as well as office support. The Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Communications, Public relations or Graphic Design, is self-directed, responsible, and reliable. Fluency in Spanish a plus. Requirements:
