clubGEN Volunteer

Would you like to be a role model to middle school girls and help high school girls develop their leadership potential? If so, be a clubGEN volunteer! GENaustin is currently seeking women in the community who would like to participate weekly as a clubGEN volunteer. Volunteers attend clubGEN meetings at a local middle school and coach the club’s high school club leaders. Clubs are held after school from approximately 4:00-5:30 pm. The required commitment will be for the same time and day every week.
ClubGEN is an after school program for middle-school girls. Local high school girls are hired and trained to lead weekly interactive, fun sessions that teach from a research-based curriculum designed exclusively for clubGEN. These sessions help to equip middle school girls with the skills and awareness they need to navigate the pressures of the teen years –with support from both older girls and each other. At clubGEN, girls are surrounded with positive role models they can relate to for connection, inspiration, and guidance. Most of all, it’s fun!

Location: Middle Schools in AISD, Round Rock and Manor
GENaustin is looking for Strong Female Volunteer Leaders to assist
with membership recruitment for clubGEN, a weekly, after-school program
that trains high school girls to be peer mentors for middle school
girls.
Volunteers will be visiting middle schools during lunch and after-school
hours to spread their enthusiasm about clubGEN and get young women
excited about joining.
Time commitment:
Minimum: 1-2 hours, once a month. Maximum: as often as you’d
like!
We need volunteers who can be available at lunch time and after school
times during our big recruitment weeks throughout the year. |

The Girls Empowerment Network (GENaustin) wants you to host a party to benefit middle and high school girls in Central Texas. Every dollar raised at the party goes toward the 1,000 Girl Challenge, our goal to reach 1,000 girls in 2010!
Become a Host:
To host a party, all we ask is that you:
1. Open your home to your friends and colleagues
2. Send out invitations (we have a sample)
3. Supply food and drinks of your choice
The Girls Empowerment Network will provide a dynamic presentation and networking opportunities!
