Welcome to GENaustin's online volunteer training! We are glad you are here and that you care about helping our young women grow into healthy, confident adults. GENaustin developed this training to:

• Provide basic, consistent information about the agency to enable you to be an advocate for GENaustin in the community
• Instill an understanding of GENaustin's culture so you feel connected and committed to a vibrant and growing community working to empower girls
• Provide you with additional resources to help the girls we serve learn and grow

As you know, being a girl today can be challenging. We are all bombarded with conflicting and often confusing messages from the media, our peers, "authority figures", our leaders, and our family about what is right and wrong. Who can blame teens for having a hard time making the transition from girlhood to adulthood? It's hard not to recognize that the world is a different place than when we were growing up, with increasing and more complex pitfalls for this next generation of women leaders.

GENaustin's mission to help promote healthy self-esteem and confidence in girls is ambitious - one we could not hope to accomplish without the dedication of people like you, who donate precious hours to make an impact on our young women.
