Most people don't know that Amelia Bloomer, famous for her attempts to reform women's dress habits in the nineteenth century, also started her own newspaper, "The Lily." But don't make the mistake of assuming this is a heavy book. It's actually very light-hearted, with a lovely scrolling typeface and large, colorful illustrations. This makes what might be an otherwise dry, historical story into a free-wheeling and delightful experience.
