AUSTIN, TX (July 8, 2008) - Local nonprofit GENaustin has named Jessica O�Mary as its new Director of Development.
O�Mary comes to the position equipped with expertise ranging from fundraising and donor stewardship to strategic planning, resource allocation and cost analysis. She has worked previously with the KDK-Harman Foundation and the George foundation and received her Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, The University of Texas at Austin where she concentrated in Philanthropic and Nonprofit Studies.
GENaustin, or Girls Empowerment Network of Austin, is dedicated to helping middle school girls develop the confidence and courage to make wise choices throughout their lives. �I truly believe that this is a crucial age to develop the self-confidence of young girls with the belief that ultimately they will choose a positive path from adolescence to adulthood,� says O�Mary.
