This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Clearly define empowerment and self-esteem
  • List societal causes of diminished empowerment in young girls
  • Explain consequences of girl's giving up their power
  • Develop ways to increase girl's self-esteem
  • Clarify your role in fostering girl's sense of self

When Girls Bully
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define ways in which girls bully
  • Understand why girls bully
  • Recognize societal attitudes toward relational aggression
  • Comprehend impact of relational aggression on girls
  • Learn ways to respond to bullying behavior

Length: 1� hour

How to End a Love/Hate Relationship With Food
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define binge eating / compulsive overeating
  • Understand the experience of compulsive eating
  • Explore reasons why people engage in overeating
  • Learn ways to break the cycle of overeating
  • Discover how to have a healthy relationship with food for you and your children

Length: 1 �, 3 or 6 hours

Instilling a Healthy Body Image in Our Girls
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Identify thoughts and behaviors that lead to poor body image
  • Explain how poor body image effects success in all areas of life
  • Establish strategies toward positive body image

Length: 1 � or 3 hours

How to Guide Your Child Through Grief
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define experiences that cause grief (i.e., divorce, death, loss of friends, school change, etc.)
  • Understand the stages of grief
  • Master communication with your child about loss
  • Learn what is appropriate to share with your child about your own grief

What Girls are Saying about Sex and Pregnancy:
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Explore their beliefs and fears about their daughters sexual behavior
  • Understand what girls wish they knew about their bodies and how that is connected to sexual activity
  • Discover why girls say "yes" to sex when they may not want to
  • Learn what girls feel will help them to wait to have sex.

This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Identify thoughts and behaviors that lead to poor body image
  • Explore environmental sources that affect body image
  • Explain how poor body image affects success in all areas of life
  • Establish strategies toward positive body image

Why You Overeat and How to Stop
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define binge eating / compulsive overeating
  • Understand the experience of compulsive eating
  • Explore reasons why people engage in overeating
  • Learn ways to break the cycle of overeating
  • Discover how to have a healthy relationship with food for you and your daughter

Length: 1 �, 3 or 6 hours

Be Fearless, Be Fabulous, Be you
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Explore what girls would like to change about themselves and why
  • Challenge the belief "If I change ____ about myself, I will be happy."
  • Identify what brings the girls happiness
  • Establish each girl's strengths and talents
  • Practice positive self-talk through role-playing

Length: 1 � or 3 hours

I want to Be Different, Just Like Everyone Else
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define pressure/peer pressure
  • Identify kinds of relationships in life and how their level of importance effects the amount of pressure
  • Using different scenarios, characterize subtle vs. blatant pressure
  • Establish tools to handle pressure

Length: 1� or 3 hours
*Not suitable for elementary age

What Do I Do About the Mean Girls at School?
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Define ways in which girls bully
  • Understand why girls bully
  • Discuss how bullying hurts girls now and in the future
  • Learn ways to respond to bullying behavior

Length: 1� hour

Dating: There is so much to think about!
This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Explore what they want in a significant other
  • Share their positive and negative dating experiences
  • Examine the pressures they feel regarding intimacy
  • Learn tools to deal with dating pressures in a healthy, positive way

Length: 1 1/2 hour
