Did you know that many girls in Austin feel they don’t measure up to national standards on their looks, their academics and their relationships? In fact, a girl in Central Texas with low-self esteem is three time more likely than a girl with high self-esteem to engage in risky behavior.

Please join us for the “Stop Airbrushing Real Beauty” workshop, learn how the media contributes to a girl’s low self-esteem. Learn some simple things to help our girls feel cared for and confident . Talk with other parents, share ideas on how we can come together as a community and make sure we are prepared to support our daughters as they grow into strong women.
