clubGEN is an after school program for elementary and middle-school girls. At clubGEN, girls are surrounded with positive role models they can relate to for connection, inspiration, and guidance. Weekly interactive, fun sessions incorporate a research-based curriculum designed exclusively for clubGEN. With support from their club leaders, peers and high school role models, clubGEN equips girls with the skills and awareness they need to navigate the pressures of the teen years. Most of all, it’s fun and free to all girls who wish to participate.
The clubGEN volunteers are high school girls who serve as peer role models and mentors during biweekly middle-school group meetings. The high school volunteer will work with the adult leaders to make a lasting impact on the lives of girls and each other.
The clubGEN volunteer is assigned to one middle school clubGEN group. The clubGEN volunteer will visit with the group members at least twice a month. At their visits, they will participate in activities to empower and support the younger girls.
