GirlConnect Codes Overview
GirlConnect Codes is GirlConnect’s newest project to promote girl’s interest in technology! GirlConnect Codes is a 12 week program that will teach a group of high school girls an introduction to coding and will create a designed for girl and made by girls website. GirlConnect Codes engages girls in interactive curriculum created exclusively for GENaustin. Girls will learn an introduction to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Dreamweaver, and WordPress.
Girls will be partnered with female mentors from the community who work in the technology field. Austin women in technology will also participate in Women in Tech career panels during the course of the 12 weeks to share with girls their experiences working in technology.

GirlConnect Codes is currently accepting applications for a high school to host the GirlConnect Codes program in the spring semester. Please complete the application if you’re interested in bringing GirlConnect Codes to your school for FREE!
